Assurance and Joy through Adversity
Series: Joy
A Powerful outpouring of the truth from our dear Pastor.  Reminding us that we are ALL loved by a Heavenly Father and therefore nurtured and cared for deeply.  We need to know that God Cares for "ME"!!  We can have a personal and intimate relationship with a Holy Father.  We have promises that we are loved, even through the pain, dark places and adversity.  His Word tells us, His actions tell us and especially His death on a cross tells us and shows us the extent that He went to for US.
 
Ephesians 3: 
 
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

    Joy. The missing ingredient.
    Series: Joy
    Paul's letter to the churches at Philipi reveal a yearning for them to experience the Joy that he felt.  Joy is often the missing ingredient in our lives and we all could use a little more joy.  
    Philippians 1:
    I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
    As a Christian who is serious about a relationship with Jesus we should be exuberant in our joy.  We should not let the worries of this world get us down no matter what.  A hard road to follow... but as Paul explains all throughout the book of Philippians, our joy should be complete if we know and follow Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
